It’s not everyday we report about something Nike’s doing here, but I thought this was very interesting. Supertouch came across a great marketing stunt from them this past weekend in LA next door to legendary hot dog spot Pinks.
It appeared Nike created fully-equipped ’70s-era living room installation in the front window of the neighboring antique shop where a gang of scantily-clad (and body-painted) young jocks were gathered around the warm blue glow of a flatscreen monitor watching March Madness unfold.
They were, of course, laced in “Be True” gear in honor of their vintage Dunks campaign, “we can only guess this was a case of guerilla marketing gone right,” says Supertouch. We agree.
