At this time of year, fashion is a confusing minefield. There’s SS09 collections on sale, AW09 entering stores and SS10 showing on the catwalks. To top it all off, AW10 will be showing before we can catch our breath. I feel like it was only ten minutes ago we were looking at Olivier Borde’s SS09 collection and now, thanks to We Are The Market, we can take a look at his impressive SS10 collection.

Fashion is a dirty word in menswear circles. The general notion seems to be that if you say you’re interested in style and not fashion, then you’re somehow a deeper, more thoughtful person than those frivolous fashion types. That’s why we’re happy to see a collection like Borde’s. It’s definitely ‘fashion’, but it’s also very wearable – even for those who are scared of any outfit that doesn’t consist of an oxford.

The collection, entitled “Brutality in Pale Colors, The wild side of youth leashed”, focuses on comfort, featuring acres of chambray and jersey in various forms. There’s also baggy trousers galore as fashion finally moves from the super skinny silhouette. Check out the rest of the collection after the leap.
