Are We There Yet?

The classic American driving vacation gets some well deserved dues in Are We There Yet?, an exhibition at Omaha’s Durham Museum. Through diagrams and a special loan of 30 pedal cars from the collection of motor enthusiast Bill Smith, Are We There Yet? introduces not just iconic locations, but visions of the motors that delivered travelers as well. You can visit the classics – Mt. Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, Mons Venus (just kidding there) – and revel in the beauty of classic American road vessels.

Certainly a fun idea, the make up of the exhibition and its two fold action is both unique and a fitting tribute to the road trip.

On view through May 2, 2010.
