Drawing (liberally) from the International style… and quite ubiquitous 1950s chevron forms… Michael Wolk‘s Stryde Collection for Loewenstein hits the mark. In most basic terms the chairs and side tables are elegant and streamlined. Wolk designs with a belief that all parts of an interior may be read as art.
The contrast of wooden support and upholstery works beautifully, as do the angles. The collection, as a whole, successfully references the past without too much trapping. Both oak and beech woods are available, thus allowing for some individuality. (via Contemporist).
