A look at the official Olympic posters designed by some of the big names on the brit art scene. Since 1912 each host town has commissioned its finest to produce artwork for the event including Warhol, Hockney, Lichtenstein and Albers. In this case 100 artists were whittled down to 12 and include the likes of Tracey Emin, Chris Ofili, Sarah Morris and Gary Hume. Asked to respond to London’s unique vision of the games the results are as varied and colourful as you’d expect. More over at Phaidon.
