Pitti – Ten C Autumn/Winter 2012

Ten C’s collection of outerwear jacket can only be described as tank-like. The sheer weight and density of the parkas and jackets measure well above most. Ten C produces their garments in Italy using  propriety Japanese fabrics (woven we hear) on the shells. Inside many are removable quilt liners for an extra layer of warm. We focus in on their red field jacket (we’ll call it a parka), one of a handful of styles (available in various colors), with shell, that includes the addition of shearling wool lining. It makes us wonder just how extreme the cold needs to be for the typical user to wear parka, without the need to remove a few layers of their own.

We hear UNION one of a handful of retailers to carry them in the United States at the moment, but that is sure to change once people begin to understand what Ten C is all about which is pretty much bonkers. Ten C’s garments price in at around $1500 USD.
