Watch | Alfred Dunhill ‘Trafalgar’ – Shanghai

By posted on

We have to hand it to Alfred Dunhill. They’ve somehow managed to turn the unpredictable British seasons that have most of us banging our heads against an umbrella, into a mystical, magical SFX spectacular. The ‘Trafalgar’ project aimed to recreate the famous London square in Shanghai, China playing host to their 2012 global menswear presentation.

Gone are the flea-bitten pigeons and Your Name on a Grain of Rice! vendors. Instead 1000 guests were treated to an impressive holographic projection show of falling leaves, soaring doves, sunshine and snow. “A full year of weather condensed over one day – Spring was dawn, Summer noon, Autumn dusk and Winter was night – was created by one of the longest single CGI sequences ever made”.
