The great Sigur Rós have announced details surrounding their forthcoming new album, slated to deliver May 28. The record, title Valtari , which translated to “steamroller” is their first since 2008. During the break, lead singer Jonsi went onto work on solo material and soundtracks. The Icelandic Sigur Rós delivers their albums with a washing sense of calm and hopefulness all the while singing in Vonlenska, also known as Hopelandic – an unstructured “non-literal” language. Reports point at Valtari remaining in this sphere.
