Watch | Crane.tv – Michael Salu – Artistic Director of Granta Publishing

Crane.tv head to Granta publishing in West London. Originally a magazine established in 1889 at Cambridge University, it published the early work of  some incredible writers including Sylvia Plath and A.A Milne. Nowadays the magazine continues alongside the publication of select works from a variety of authors.

Granta does not have a political or literary manifesto, but it does have a belief in the power and urgency of the story, both in fiction and non-fiction, and the story’s supreme ability to describe, illuminate and make real.” Michael Salu, artistic director, has combined his passion for literature with a love of design and talks here about his role at Granta, translating narrative into image and his own take on style.
