Our researchers, holed up in a damp, windowless basement near Kings Cross, have been working hard to bring together some ‘Buyer’s Guides’ for your viewing pleasure. After returning from their 10 minutes of yard time they came up with this selection of precious wallets made of the finest hide. The most universal of men’s accessories, keeping your hard-earned cash and plastic cards in one place is a necessity for most. Take a look through our picks for some money holder inspiration.

We’ve included a couple of flashy options in this line-up, the above being one of them. 100% Calf Saffiano leather (a durable textured hide) this bright red number from Paul Smith might draw unwanted attention to your cash but if you’re going to get mugged you may as well do it in style.
Il Bussetto continue to lead the way in leather accessories, their coin holders hitting almost cult status. For those looking to carry larger denominations the Bi Fold holds cash, cards and loose change. Hand Made in Italy, vegetable tanned ‘ocre’ coloured leather on the outside and natural leather on the inside, this is smart, plain and simple.
A sizable zip wallet from WANT Les Essentiels. This one is designed for all you international travellers with it’s boarding card friendly size and room for all your various currencies. Black grain leather, gold zip and embossed logo, a handsome beast of a wallet.
Corter are particularly strong on the natural leather front. An unfussy snap wallet whose only decoration is the concho coin on the front. A single bill fold and six card slots, this one will colour up nicely with use.
Yeah, it’s python skin. Fancy. Flashy. A little bit Oh La La. Jil Sander stuck a zip on it though so it kind of feels more acceptable. Midnight blue, this has a practical coin pouch and is lined with navy leather. Made in Italy, give it up for that snake skin.
Our last offering is from an old favourite, Makr. This has to be one of their most recognisable designs, the flap wallet now available in many colours, you can’t go wrong with oxblood Chromexcel horween leather. Heavy white stitching sits perfectly with that deep shade. Hand sewn, painted edges, this already feels like a classic.
