Melides, Portugal Residence by Pedro Reis

Contemporist brings focus to a residence in Melides, Portugal, 90 minutes south of Lisbon, designed by architect Pedro Reis. The footprint on the home breaks the construction into two connected areas: ” the light upper volume recalls the synthetic image of the modern house, with large glass areas open to the scenic countryside… while the lower volume acts as an expansion zone, hosting more intimate areas or service areas, allowing increased occupation.” The kitchen acts as a cross point connecting the home. Beautiful modern living.
