Our good friends at Crane.tv speak to Jim Lee, legendary photographer who came to prominence in late 60s London working for the likes of Vogue, The New York Times and Interview, collaborating along the way with a young Anna Wintour. His striking photographic style centers around storytelling, in the early years particularly this meant complicated set ups and ambitious outdoor productions, the results often dramatic to say the least. Still shooting and producing films, his 50 year career is celebrated over at Somerset House with a recently opened retrospective Arrested and a book of the same name written by longtime pal Peter York, both of which are well worth a look.
