A bit of a boring pre-Memorial Day Friday… until we ran across an amazing reference grade textbook. Where records sleeves are the focus of many guides to vinyl records, Jamaican music was (and to come extent still is) outputted on levels well above those of contemporary music. There was no time to design a record sleeve – you had to get that new track into the hands of the people immediately. Play the new shit in the club, gauge the crowd and press the vinyl immediately.
Reggae Soundsystem 45! covers more than 400 page book that features a whopping 1000 reference images – all reproduced full size!
