“Inspired by Andy Warhol’s trip to China in the 1980’s” and the industrial revolution, designer Tillmann Lauterbach showed his Industrial Disillusion collection at Paris Fashion Week with much to admire amongst the line-up. Fabrics were top quality; Italian wool, cotton twill, Japanese micro jacquard jersey, mercerized cotton, Italian canvas, silk satin, poplin and linen blends processed using industrial techniques – attention to detail that told in the finished product. Block colours, clean fluid lines, clever proportions and a thing for baseball caps, Lauterbach could’ve left the rolled sleeves behind but one blip aside this felt like a complete collection from the German designer.
