James de Wulf for Gilt Home – Dining Room Ping-Pong Table

As an exchange student in the south of France, I found the pool table my host family kept in their dining room more impressive than the fresh oysters we ate nightly on that very same table when it was covered with a piece of plywood and a nice swatch of linen. In hindsight, I would rather slurp oysters than avoid knocking teapots out of their hutch with the rubber end of a cue, but the idea is super solid.

Gaming in your dining room was also on the mind of James de Wulf, as he designed this Dining Room Ping-Pong Table for Gilt Home. Thing is fricking aces. Subtle enough to more than pass as a fine piece of dining furniture when the net is off, and commanding enough with the net up to inspire some serious smashing of balls. Ping-pong balls. Look for it online.
