Bruce Davidson on Photographing London

Legendary photographer Bruce Davidson speaks to Tate about his time in London. Coming to the city for the first time from New York, having just shot the Brooklyn Gangs series Davidson comments “I needed peace, I didn’t need another gang”. 60s London provided more than enough material, the youth of the city particularly fascinating to the Illinois born photographer. A selection of his work is currently on show at Another London, Tate Britain. We’d recommend a visit.
