An incredible collaboration from Eastman and New York’s Quality Mending Co. The USAAF ANJ-4 Jacket replaced the better known B-3, standardised on May 17th 1943. The folks at Eastman inform us of this model’s short lifespan in the context of military issues, after just a year of use it would be superseded by “a new generation of pile-lined, fabric flight jackets”. This reproduction from the British company is as historically correct and beautifully crafted as you’d expect. ‘Warhorse’  broken grain front quarter horsehide is lined with North American sheepskin, all pulled together by a classic Talon zipper. Quality Mending Co. find their way onto the collar, QMC stencilled in traditional style. Available in-store later this month, another gem from the repro masters.
