An exhibition to get a bit overexcited about. Daido Moriyama and William Klein share space at the Tate Modern in a show that explores “modern urban life in New York and Tokyo.” Exhibiting work from the 1950s onwards, two giants of the photography world come together demonstrating “the visual affinity between their urgent, blurred and grainy style of photography and also their shared desire to convey street life and political protest.” Tate once again offer up preview films, we hear from both Moriyama and Klein with the exhibition running 10 October 2012 – 20 January 2013.
