Dorset’s Chester offer some reasonably priced leather options. Made from North American Deerskin, lined with a press stud strap on the back to keep out the chill.
Eastman Leather – USAAF Type A-10 Gloves
Standardised on July 20th 1938, these goatskin leather gloves were used throughout WWII, keeping aircrew hands warm with that wool cuff. Another Christmas wishlist item, hope you’re listening friends and fam, get in early to avoid (my) disappointment.
Agnelle - Navy Lambskin Leather Gloves
French maker Agnelle produce some truly beautiful gloves. Cut by hand, these slim fit, wool cuff examples have all the Made by skilled craftsmen/artisans/leatherwork specialists credentials you could ask for.
The most practical model if you’re looking for a bit of flexibility in movement, Rapha Cycling produce these from African hair sheep leather. Handily these feature marksman-grade palm padding allowing for maximum control.
