Nike, always at the forefront of innovation in sportswear design, have delivered some incredible technology driven products this year alone. From the Flyknit to the Olympic Team USA Kit, obsessing over the fine detail has, for many, lead to the dress shoe being put aside for something a little more future thinking. PORT Magazine‘s David Hellqvist speaks with Nike Sportswear designer Nathan Van Hook about another much chased release, The Inneva. “Hand-woven and with a new lacing system that help adjust its fit and keep it in place, the trainer perfectly fits in with the Sportswear line’s DNA.” An insight into the design and production of this NSW creation, Van Hook states “The Nike Inneva Woven has only what is needed, and nothing more. The Nike Inneva looks the way it does because of the innovation used to develop each element of its construction. It’s craft defined by innovation.” Close up goodness from photographer Nikolas Ventourakis in the gallery. Check out the full interview here.
