Artist, Neil Krug, has photographed the likes of Tame Impala, Gonjasufi, First Aid Kit, and The Scissor Sisters to name a few. With the help of Joni (Harbeck) Alexander, Krug began publishing his photography and commercial work through the Pulp Art Book series. Inside Volume One, readers will find themed photo essays around “pulp” art inspired works including spaghetti westerns, Bonnie and Clyde revivals, as well as the struggle of the 1950’s housewife.
With the forthcoming release of Volume Two, Krug introduces new characters and vingettes while “solidifying Joni Harbeck and Neil Krug’s position as the hippest ex-Kansans in the contemporary art world.” Those looking for Krug’s photography on shirting should consider the new t-shirt series with Altru. Four of Krug’s women grace the front sides. Choose your favorites.
