Just when you thought that Sunspel‘ Supersoft tees couldn’t get anymore Supersoft they go and release a new range described as “finer and softer than cashmere…so light against the skin that they feel barely there at all.” Created at their Long Eaton factory, by hand and without any chemicals, the all-white collection includes a button-fly boxer short, a brief and a crew neck or v-neck t-shirt, each piece involving 15 individual processes and 9 people to create. The Cotton itself has an interesting history, its development taking Sunspel to a tiny farm in Jamaica where they produce the fabric from one of the original Sea Island plants – the Montserrat. “With only three Sea Island cotton plants in existence, the fabric is of a premium.” So, we’re talking serious business here. Find the range in-store and online soon. With campaign shots by Alasdair McLellan and behind the scenes Sunspel factory images from Malachy Donnelly, take a look through the gallery for more.
