A cloth designed to take a beating, German label A Kind of Guise, always happy to experiment with fabric, decided to push denim to its limits, exposing rolls of blue to the hillsides at Lake Garda for 90 days. “After the sun, rain and wind did their job, we started to work with the weather-beaten fabric and transformed it into this special collection. Weather, in all its aspects, influenced the fabric in terms of structure, surface feel and colour.” The idea was to infuse a winter garment with a bit of European summer with all its various climates. The result is a strange mixture of fades and textures across a collection of classic denim shirts. See the full range of blue in the gallery and check out the film below.
