Take a look at this cabin designed by David and Susan Scott’s new architecture firm, Scott and Scott: an off-grid snowboard cabin at Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Constructed out of fir columns, the entire structure was hand-built by the duo and a group of volunteers.  This 100 square meter cabin is without electricity and heated by a simple wood stove, making it a place to get away from it all.

I wish someone would hire me to better photograph this cabin! It looks beautiful, but seems like the photographer had no interest in doing the craftsmanship the justice it deserves.
