Marwood neckwear and accessories are special for their use of fine fabrics in the production of their neckties and bowties. Where other makers prefer contemporary textiles in their neckwear production, Marwood looks beyond the classics to materials not necessarily associated with the forms. While lace and wools remains part of the Marwood collection, English Leaver lace and woven dip-dyed jacquards elevate the line.
For Spring/Summer 2013, Marwood designer, Becky French, worked with structural artist, Toni Davey and her 2-D and 3-D textural paper workings. 3-D “weaves” are laser cut on the necktie forms giving them both texture and a uniqueness not found elsewhere.
