In 1939, Denmark’s Vipp designed the original pedal trash bin for industrial use. It landed in hospital floors and restaurant kitchens worldwide. Today, the pedal bin can be found in commercial and private residences throughout the world.

Vipps celebrates this history with a collaborative series of  pedal bins designed by Alain Passard of l’Arpège in Paris. The bins featuring beautiful collage works that take inspiration from Passard’s illustrated cookbook, The Art of Cooking with Vegetables. Using ten of the illustrations, Vipp designed a limited edition collection of 40 numbered trashbins sold exclusively in the Arrière-Cuisineof l’Arpège and in the Vipp Flagships Store in Copenhagen beginning May 15.
