Carnivan House, Wexford Ireland, Aughey O’Flaherty Architects

Sitting on the South Coast of Ireland, the residents of the one story Carnivan House designed by  Aughey O’Flaherty Architects have already got the vista thing down. Creating an unnecessarily beautiful home from which to admire it just seems greedy. The L-Shape building and its large swathes of glass take in the sun and protect the building from wild sea winds.  An incredible stone exterior has been locally sourced, part of an effort to create a structure that blends in with its surroundings – a cliff-top vantage point in Fethard on Sea, headland described as ‘a protected scenic amenity area.’ Take a look in the gallery.
