Visit MoMA New York Watch Tilda Swinton Sleeping in a Box

You won’t be surprised to hear that Tilda Swinton is sleeping in a box in the name of art at New York’s MoMA. You also won’t be surprised to hear this isn’t the first time she’s put herself proudly on display. Debuted in 1995 at the Serpentine Gallery, London, the live piece ‘The Maybe‘ reappeared at the Museo Barracco in Rome in 1998. You’ll have to be keen to catch one of her next 6 hours snoozes, Swinton will turn up unannounced another 6 times across the course of the show. Twitter will no doubt keep you updated.

‘The Maybe 1995/2013. Living artist, glass, steel, mattress, pillow, linen, water and spectacles.’
