You have to be pretty awesome to get your own exhibition at the V&A Museum. Who’s pretty Awesome? David Bowie of course. As we’re probably all aware by now, the Victoria & Albert have raided the archive of possibly one of the greatest pop stars on the planet. David Bowie Is explores ‘the creative processes of Bowie as a musical innovator and cultural icon, tracing his shifting style and sustained reinvention across five decades.’ Iconic costumes, handwritten lyrics, set designs, sketches, original instruments…a visual history of a man who’s lived about 100 very cool lives. Courtesy of the V&A, take a look around the exhibition in the gallery and hear from co-curator Geoffrey Marsh in the Telegraph film below. Grab a ticket if you can.
