NOWNESS recently welcomed a little Chloë Sevigny takeover, reaching back to her early days as the too cool for school New Yorker with the weird haircut. The second instalment below captures her in full nineties obscure fashion film mode. This unseen video from Phil Morrison was originally shot for Kim Gordon’s X-Girl label (oh X-Girl). Sevigny explains the film was “supposed to be like Godard,” she continues “….I remember being concerned that people might find it boring, and Kim being very encouraging said that she wouldn’t mind that at all, that it was to some degree the idea.” Starring alongside Rita Ackermann, a nice bit of nostalgia for Thursday morning. The accompanying interview over at the site most definitely worth a read – an honest, short but sweet account of Chloë in her Kids heyday – did that Irish accent in Hit and Miss actually happen? Ah well. Time flies.
