Alongside simple 1940s plimsole models, the classic Chuck Taylor Converse Bosey boot receives a makeover with British and American military references, Ventile fabric playing a key role. “Developed for use in WWII flight suits as a material to protect pilots when they ejected from their planes into icy cold waters. The Ventile fabric extended survival time tenfold and saved many ejected pilots’ lives.” Impressive.
