I have a certain interest in the connection of fashion to the football terraces of the UK. Much of it has to do with a couple of books on the subject as well as a handful of British thug flicks. Understanding the culture of this world comes down to hearing from the folks who lives it on the street of London and beyond. The new short film by Will Robson-Scott explores this very topic through the eyes and conversation of one East Londener, Jena.
“This film follows Jela, brought up in the heart of the East End of London in a Turkish and English family. He talks about his memories of growing up in the 80s and 90s and his time on the streets and on football terraces.” His is only one such story on the topic. Here’s hoping we hear more.
