Part Home, Part Gallery – The Desert House of Santa Fe

Designed by Lake Flato architects, this home in the dry landscape of the Santa Fe hills is a little bit special. A low lying structure surrounded by terraces, courtyards and outbuildings, the layout makes the most of its challenging location, “the east-west orientation of the main living space capturing the transforming qualities of light throughout the day.” Well rusted corrugated metal, concrete and plenty of glass to admire those incredible views, this structure acts as family home, office and gallery space for its collecting residents. Take a look inside.
