See the ‘Made in England’ Collection Come Together in our Dr Martens Factory Tour

A while back we had the pleasure of heading down to Cobb’s Lane, Northamptonshire, to see the Dr Martens Made in England collection come together. Using methods pioneered over fifty years ago the line harks back to classic, sturdy styles, a little touch of the modern injected with the addition of fabric panels and various other contemporary updates. The 3989 shown here uses their standard oxblood brogue, Goodyear welted of course, and adds a jacquard woven satin stripe material made in the UK by Stephen Walters and Sons. From finding the perfect piece of untainted leather to apply to the last, to the final stitch, follow the process from beginning to box in all its Black & White film glory in our gallery – should the MIE 3989 take your fancy find it here.
