Dave Rochlen’s Jams Surf Wear Returns with the Help of Maurizio Donadi

Founded by Santa Monica born Surfer Dave Rochlen in 1964, Original Jams were the result of a pair of brightly coloured flannel pyjamas, chopped off just above the knee by Rochlen’s wife Keanuenue. Having moved to Hawaii to pursue his passion, this homemade effort soon caught the eye of fellow beach-dwellers and the brand quickly became a hit. Now, with the seal of approval from the Rochlen family, Jams returns with the help of former Levi’s xx head and current Filson Creative director, Maurizio Donadi. The line will offer a full range of trunks, tops, outerwear and bottoms for men and women including hand-drawn designs on tees, terry sweats, Madras shirts and over-dyed chinos. However, the real draw has to be those bright-as-you-like shorts, drawstring numbers in a range of incredible, bold, ’60s designs. Coming to a store near you very soon, take a look at the line in our gallery and press play below for more.
