The heritage of wilderness and outdoorsman brands continues to be explored in 2013. The focus of modern outerwear on new textiles has not slowed down the appreciation for the very best of the part. Take for instance, Gerry Mountaineering, a company founded in 1946 by Gerry Cunningham who was in search of better equipment for himself in Colorado. Later, Gerry tents were used by the team of Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary in the first successful ascension of Mt. Everest.
In celebration of that 60th anniversary of the ascension as well as the 50th anniversary of the first ascension by an America, Gerry is releasing a capsule collection featuring outerwear inspired by the Gerry archive.
