London based Trine Lindegaard presents Spring Summer 2014 with a little help from the Fine Cell Work scheme. UK prisoners are taught needlework skills as part of a rehabilitation programme with their finished products sold worldwide and participants paid for their high-quality work. Having worked on commissions for the likes of the V&A and Tate Modern, the charity set up a workshop specifically for Lindegaard with the brief of ‘Freedom’ as a starting point. Their interpretations of the word were developed into the prints and designs that form Spring Summer 2014. Additionally, Linegaard explores her love of African fabrics once again, spending time in Ghana, working with a family run weaving business to develop new Kente cloths.
