Set Designer Shona Heath Creates Taxi Storefront for J.Crew London

J.Crew London is almost here, as anyone who may have found themselves on Regent Street lately will have noticed. In order to jazz up the temporary front, the store employed set designer Shona Heath to create something “totally crazy” and very British. Classic London taxis turn multicolour, decorated with unicorns, lions, bows and the crown jewels. Heath comments “I wanted to turn the volume up on Regent Street, I wanted it to seem feasible that these crazy fantasy taxis, inspired by the Beatles’ Rolls Royce, could take off like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” Take a look behind the scenes at the installation below and in the gallery – See it for yourself at 165 Regent Street, London.
