Architects Reyes Rios+Larrain create this award winning home, ‘Casa Sisal,’ named after the agave plants that were once grown on the plot. Situated in Yucatan, Mexico across 200 square meters, the two bedroom two bathroom concrete home (a mixture of white cement and resins from local chukum trees) takes open living to the extreme with both sides opening up for the kind of ventilation a hot Mexican Summer calls for. The low, flat structure features exterior stairs leading to a roof terrace with the outside space holding a patio, pond and swimming pool. Take the tour in our gallery
