Last night, Bergdorf Goodman unveiled their iconic Holiday window displays, employing acrobatic dancers to glide down from the department store’s rooftop to rip off the curtains. David Hoey, famed window designer and Bergdorf’s senior director of visual presentation, worked his magic once again, filling the ground floor windows around the theme of “Holidays on Ice.” Each window depicts a different holiday like July 4th, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and April Fool’s Day. An Arbor Day window featured a giant tortoise beside an Alexander McQueen-clad mannequin. For April Fool’s, the window was composed upside-down, making onlookers do a double-take. Thom Browne, Valentino, Alaia, and Rodarte also make appearance in the windows, among many other iconic designers that represent the store. Visit Bergdorf Goodman in New York at 754 5th Avenue to experience the windows yourself.
