If the last Fall/Winter 2013 season was classic formalwear with a bit of athletic references, Thom Browne takes those elements to a new level for Spring/Summer 2014. With stronger military details and stricter tailoring, Browne’s knack for suiting persists in forms of double-breasted jackets, western pocket detailing and exaggerated padded shoulders. He manages to fuse feminine details as well, inserting ribbons on the spine or fashioning a suit out of tweed. The designer’s signature black and white dinner jacket tops off his seasonal collection, another strong and successful one.

The guy has lost it. He used to make great neo-formal clothing. Now he’s into costume design…

I don’t see this as being all that outrageous at all. Its more the way the guys are standing. Otherwise its just ordinary preppy clothing with some unique design features. Its a hemmed bit shorter then normal, but then people can chose not to hem it so short. You people are confusing dramatic nerdy poses of the models with the actual clothing.

The only outrageous pieces is are the military jacket with the corset back, the peplum vests….which I am sure women will buy. This had pieces for both genders, and I like that. I think its financially viable.
