Alexander McQueen Fall Winter 2014 – Graphic Black and Gray

For Fall/Winter 2014, Alexander McQueen stayed within the grim ethos of black and gray but the collection couldn’t be farther from dreary. Graphic lines, tartan, and overlays of John Deakin photographs took over suits, knits and tailored coats. There were two exceptions to the black and gray rule — one head-to-toe pink plaid look (styled with a pleated kilt) and gold zipper hardware in the latter half of the show — that nonetheless still stuck with the season’s graphic theme. For strict tailoring and tight silhouettes, look to this collection.
