A slicker than slick collection from Swiss brand Bally for Fall Winter 2014. Based around “the authentic codes of luxury men’s wear,” fabrics from Japanese, Italian and English mills create soft suiting, lightweight cashmere knitwear, poplin oxford shirts, down-filled lambskin jackets, suede bombers, classic camel overcoats and some sweet denim. Of course, this being Bally, footwear and accessories play a starring role. A mostly black collection, finished with lighter, hidden hardware, reporter bags, holdalls, weekend carries and everyday totes just a few of the many options on offer. Shoes include Oxfords, double monk straps and ankle boots with Goodyear soles and a patina “glass finish,” with more casual options via their hardwearing hiking boot, goatskin plimsolls as well as the brand’s take on the hi-top sneaker.
