Inside the London Home Of Designer Michael Anastassiades

“To have that continuity, the traveling of the sound, was something I was quite fascinated with. And sometimes it works to your disadvantage, but in this case, I really enjoyed that, especially when you don’t have people sharing the house with you.” The newest instalment of Nowness “In Residence” takes us into the home of Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades. Over looking the train lines of Waterloo station, many would assume the sound of leaving and incoming trains would be disruptive for homeowners. “I didn’t mind the noise the trains made, I was more interested in the flow of people.” Large windows and high ceilings allow a ghostly flow throughout the townhouse, also working as a spotlight for certain sculptures Anastassiades exhibits throughout his home. A film by Michael Donaldson, press play.
