An Acapella Spectacle at Moncler Grenoble Fall/Winter 2014

The invitation for Moncler Grenoble’s Fall/Winter 2014 show for New York Fashion Week hinted at something different for the Italian outerwear brand. Where past shows highlighted their gloriously staged presentations, this year’s announcement noted a format change listed only as a “show” to be held at at the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom in Midtown New York. The “show” was well beyond what editors and special guests could have hoped for.

When the curtains opened on stage, attendees were presented with four stacked tiers showcasing 60 choristers dressed in Moncler Grenoble’s latest collection. Switzerland’s acapella voice orchestra, Pendulum Choir, sang a traditional alpine song while braced and mounted to moving mechanical stands.

For the garments themselves, Moncler Grenoble highlights the use of breathable waterproof meshes and the continued use of English wools. “Overlapping effects bring the men’s and women’s products to life, harnessing the light weight of the ‘longue saison’ down jackets which can be fitted inside other garments depending on the temperature, with colors that all match each other.” Explore the Fall/Winter 2014 collection from Moncler Grenoble through the imagery above and the video below.
