Following his Spring/Summer 2014 debut at New York Fashion Week, designer Tae Yong Ko brings Beyond Closet back for Fall/Winter 2014. Once again collaborating with Illesteva on the sunglasses, green mirror lenses spiced up the looks that were inspired by Ko’s military days in the Korean Marines. Combining this with the trend of streetwear, he infused elements of hip hop into this collection in the form of a bucket hat and blue camo. “But Beyond Closet’s most basic preppy aesthetic is still there,” Ko told us backstage. Indeed, checkered toggle peacoats and brightly color-blocked collars communicated that Beyond Closet is still for that cool schoolboy.
