Portland’s Kiriko recently traveled to Japan and discovered a traditional textile woven exclusively in Kurume, a city located in the Fukuoka prefecture. Kurume is “still manufactured on the original looms of the families who first created the technique,” in a textural Kasuri pattern which renders every side and color unique. For this season, Kiriko offer scarves in a variety of color and pattern combinations like the above. Shop them here.
