“House for mother” from Förstberg Arkitektur is a “work in progress” residence located in Linköping, Sweden. Built for the Linköpingsbo 2017 home exhibition, the home concept is split between two structures: the first carrying the kitchen, dining room and living room while the second works as a studio and second bedroom (facilities such as baths and laundry live within a small space inside the first space). Exposed plywood and beams divide and support the structures, each laid with concrete flooring. Corrugated aluminum is used for the facade and roofing. Construction on “House for mother” begins this August.
