Take a leap and upgrade your life.

LEATHER

Ernest Alexander 5th-Anniversary Limited-Edition Sleeve

Ernest Alexander gives us a two-in-one case with their dark brown iPhone sleeve made specially for his fifth anniversary. The all-natural leather case includes an exterior pocket with enough room for cash and a few cards, making it a useful carry in all situations. ($85)

Parabellum Snap Button Sleeve

This case from Parabellum is definitely on the luxe side of things, with a handcrafted leather exterior and vintage cashmere lining, all reinforced by kevlar. The pull tab features a hand-cast iron or ceramic snap button for easy release. Keep in mind this case is designed for iPhones 3 and 4. ($260)

Montblanc Flip Case

This case from Montblanc is made of full-grain Italian cowhide and showcases the brand’s emblem on the front. The flip case opens up to easily protect and reveal your phone. ($200)

Common Projects Slip Case

Common Projects bring us this case with their classic design aesthetic, providing simple solutions to iPhone protection, while keeping the device looking timeless and stylish. It even features the brand’s iconic numbering on the reverse side. ($80)

Il Bussetto Cover

We found this next option kicking around in Stevan Alan by Il Bussetto. This minimal leather case comes in five different colorways and features a plastic interior to keep its shape and better protect your goods. ($68)

Hard Graft Mighty Fold Wallet

The next case comes from Hard Graft and utilizes an unexpected design to combine both a full-on protective smartphone case as well as a compartmentalized wallet. The wallet/case is made up of hand-tanned Italian leather, and is constructed by hand every step of the way. ($185)

Mujjo Wallet Case

The Mujjo iPhone wallet is another one of our options that features the exterior pocket perfect for card and cash storage. The wallet/case is all-natural vegetable-tanned leather, and is handmade, making each case unique. ($52)

Billykirk for Shipley & Halmos Wallet Case

Our good friends Shipley & Halmos bring US-based Billykirk on board for their leather expertise, and team up to create this limited-edition hand-painted leather case/card holder. You might have seen these at their pop-up shop in New York’s Chinatown earlier this year. ($150)

Roberu Elastic Case

Roberu gives us this unique option, showcasing two supple grain leather ends attached by thick and durable elastic. ($118)

LEATHER/METAL

Adopted Lizard Case

Adopted has a line of all sorts of beautiful skin cases. We chose this one, a silver or gold polycarbonate frame complete with genuine lizard paneling. ($180)

Opulus Executive Case

This handcrafted case form Opulus features a clean suede back and metallic trims. It adds a sort of sophistication to your beaten-down iPhone, or simply helps to protect and style your brand new one. ($49)

Norse Projects Arthur Case

One of our favorites brands, Norse Projects makes the list with a minimal vegetable-tanned leather iPhone case. It also has room for a few cards, and is finished with raw leather edges. ($111)

EXOVault EXO17 Brass Case

These EXOVault cases are available in brass, silver and black aluminum, creating an extremely strong frame around your phone while maintaining a minimalistic appeal. ($140)

OTHER

Native Union CLIC WOODEN Case

This interesting case from Native Union isn’t your typical fake wooden case, but instead uses natural cherry wood topped with a pop of color. Additionally, the raw material gives each case its own different grain, a for one-of-a-kind look. ($40)

Loop Mummy Case

The Mummy case from Loop provides an interesting alternative to the ordinary sleeve or frame case. With Mummy, you still maintain full access to all necessary buttons, ports, and camera holes, while having space to tuck away a few credit cards/cash. ($25)

Jack Spade Legal Case

We always love Jack Spade‘s tech case collection, and we chose this hard shell case with a fun legal paper design. ($40)

Hex Hayward Collection Case

Here are two versions of the Hayward Collection smartphone case from Hex. The first one is a classic shell case, and the second is a folding-style wallet case, featuring three card slots. Both cases are all waxed canvas, with the brand’s signature colorways. They are currently unavailable but will be back in stock before the end of April. (shell $35; wallet case $50)

ELEVENPLUS Hard Case

ELEVENPLUS gives us a few unique color options we have been hard pressed to find anywhere else. We especially like the pale mint version of their iPhone 5 hard case. All cases are polycarbonate, and scratch-resistant. ($30)

Pantone Universe Case

Pantone add these fun “color swatch”-styled cases to our list. The 12 eye-catching colorways feature a high-gloss finish. ($30)

Marcelo Burlon Snake Print Case

We finish our list with this beautiful case from Marcelo Burlon. The iconic print seen all over the brand’s recent campaign reappears here on a PVC hard case for the iPhone 5. Beware, the all-over snake print has been known to scare those with a fear of snakes. ($65)
