Dogfish Head’s Sam Calagione took from the journal of John Rich, founder of Woolrich, for inspiration of the beer. Reviving Rich’s original home recipe from the 1800s, the beer is a blend of wheat, rye and tips of Pennsylvania spruce. The brewers over at Dogfish playfully named the ale “Pennsylvania Tuxedo,” after the tartan outfits worn by “New England woodsmen.” Unfortunately, the PA Tuxe will only be available as draft beer at Analog-A-Go-Go, Dogfish’s Delaware music and beer festival next week.
The “dry” part of the collection is a small clothing capsule, consisting of a women’s dress, men’s shirt, baseball cap, and a soft wool blanket, all branded with a special tag featuring both of the brands’ logos. You can watch below to see how the whole collaboration came together and shop the clothes at Woolrich later this month.
